Craft & Finishing

Highlights

  • Composition: 70% mercerized anti-shrink wool + 30% cashmere, high cashmere blend ratio, delivering maximum loft and warmth at once.
  • Specification: 48NM/2 semi-worsted high-count yarn, even yarn regularity, smooth yarn, moderate strength, low weaving loss.
  • Hand feel: soft, waxy and full, skin-friendly against the body, with a fine, full nap that does not collapse; light to wear without weighing you down.
  • Functions: natural moisture absorption and breathability, light warmth, resistant to pilling, good resilience, suitable for both light styles and autumn/winter base layers.
  • Color fastness: eco-friendly reactive dyeing with strict color fixing, bright shades, stable batch to batch.

Recommended Flat-bed Gauge

  • Main recommendation: 14 gauge (14G) — flat fabric surface, moderate thickness, best showcases the fine texture of 48NM/2 semi-worsted.
  • Light/thin needle: 16 gauge (16G) — tight density, refined fit, suitable for ultra-thin spring/summer styles and close-fitting base layers.
  • Thick/loose: 12 gauge (12G) — fuller fabric, better warmth, can be knitted with two-ply yarn feed for autumn/winter thick styles.
  • Note: 30% cashmere high-blend yarn is highly soft with relatively low strength; weaving tension should be moderate to low, and it is recommended to knit a swatch first to confirm density and shrinkage.

Washing & Finishing Steps

  1. 1Sorting and lot matching: sort by style number, color number and dye lot difference, wash same batch and same dye lot together to avoid color bleeding and color shading.
  2. 2Rinsing to remove sizing and soil: warm water below 30℃ + neutral detergent, gently remove loose fibers, oil stains and sizing; never use high temperature or alkaline agents.
  3. 3Softening/anti-felting finish: add a hydrophilic softener and an appropriate amount of anti-felting agent to enhance the nap hand feel and prevent the 30% cashmere content from felting.
  4. 4Dewatering and setting: low-speed dewatering, wringing strictly prohibited, pre-shape the garment while damp to prevent the high-blend yarn from wrinkling and deforming.
  5. 5Drying/shade drying: low-temperature tumble drying or lay flat to dry in the shade until 80% dry, avoid high-temperature sunlight exposure causing stiffness, discoloration or shrinkage.
  6. 6Panel pressing: steam-press each garment panel once before sewing to eliminate curled edges and wrinkles; steam pressure should be low.
  7. 7Garment pressing: after sewing is completed, steam-press the whole garment once on a mannequin to set the shape, avoid pressing directly on the nap.
  8. 8Re-pressing and fine finishing: press easily wrinkled areas such as neckline, placket, hem and cuffs one more time as much as possible to ensure flatness.
  9. 9Quality inspection and packaging: inspect dimensions, color shading, pilling, stains and pressing results; after passing, bag the garment, moth-proofing treatment is recommended.

Care Instructions

  • Washing: warm water below 30℃, select the "wool/delicate" program; use a neutral cashmere-specific detergent, avoid enzyme/bleach-containing ingredients.
  • Drying: after washing, gently press out water (never wring), lay flat to dry in the shade, avoid hanging in direct sunlight, high-temperature tumble drying and prolonged soaking.
  • Ironing: if ironing is needed, use a low-temperature steam iron, iron with a pressing cloth, avoid direct contact with the nap.
  • Storage: keep dry before storing, moth repellent strips may be placed, avoid heavy objects pressing and causing deformation.
